So... watching the news a work....
The news was interrupted with an ad for "The Nativity Story".
This ad ran a series of seeming headlines...
"Christmas Trees removed from Seattle Airport"
"The Nativity Story ads banned from Chicago Christmas Festival"
"Support Christmas... see The Nativity Story..."
This disgusting marketing rendered me physically ill. They are trying to sell people on the idea of Christians being persecuted and after buying into that garbage they intend to sell you Jesus.
So... an airport decides that instead of being sued, they take down their decorations... Chicago decides that instead of running advertisements selling Jesus they'd rather let their holiday festival run as the churches would have it run minus special lobbying? Obviously this is a war on Christian values, right?
People should still be allowed to purchase indulgences from the Pope. Salvation for political favors and money?
I'm urging everyone I know to boycott this film. Spend your $10 per ticket on your family, donate it to your church, give a nice tip to someone who probably needs it more than you do. It is a degradation of faith and morality to sell your messiah like so much other marketing chatter.
You will not be a better Christian for having seen this film. You will not be supporting Christmas. You will be whoring out your faith to someone else's profit.
