Fun fun fun...

This is our yard as it stands at this moment. Notice the short stuff in the foreground. Notice the long stuff in the background.

Our neighbor is selling and suddenly our entire property must be under 12" tall. The management company that fields *all* calls for the landlord didn't know how big the lot was until 1 day after our original deadline when they called back to tell us it runs back another 100-150' from where we stopped mowing in the first round.

According to the landlord, this isn't because the yard wasn't taken care of while it was vacant, all of that 4' high stuff back there grew in the one month we've been here renting the place.
